Sell my wedding dress

Sell my wedding dress
Everybody wants to sell their wedding dress these days. I guess its a sign of the times – shortage of money and less sentimentality. Most of the enquiries I receive are from people wanting me to buy their wedding dress from them. They need the money now and they just want it out of the house.
Now, here’s the bad news. I don’t buy wedding dresses. If you need money now don’t even bother ask the question.
Bridal Re-Dress was set up to raise money for registered charities. Initially a percentage of every sale was donated to charity. Whenever the first recession hit the business in 2007 I decided to be lenient with people and follow the saying ‘charity begins at home’ and make the charitable donation optional, versus payback. As money has remained scarce we have maintained that policy. So no, I don’t buy your wedding dress from you up front.
If you would like to follow our standard donation procedure please go to this page for further details: Donating wedding dresses.
Basically, if you want maximum payback, you get back the selling price less a £200 commission.
If however you want to donate all your payback to charity you can.
We do not take bridesmaids nor mother of the bride as we simply do not have the room.
As I write this, so far, we have raised a GRAND TOTAL OF £15,350.75 for the following charities:
Action Cancer. Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. MacMillan Cancer Relief. Cancer Research. Breast Cancer Campaign. Ovarian Cancer Action.
Childline. ST.MARY’S PORCH PROJECT.Childrens Hospice. KITH & KIDS. NSPCC. West Suffolk Hospital Neonatal Unit.
Redwings Horse Sanctuary. USPCA.HULA Animal Rescue.
TROAS (overseas aid by Omagh Community Church). TROCAIRE. United Christian Aid. Simon Community.
